In October of every year, I travel with a team of medical professionals and volunteers from Arkansas to North Central Guatemala. This year was the thirteenth year for me to serve and the third year for my dental hygienist, Ashlee, to attend. Our medical and dental clinics are held in villages in the mountains surrounding the city of Salama, Guatemala. We worked in two different villages this year, Pacala and San Vicente, neither of which we had previously served. These villages are very rural and primitive. We had four and a half days of clinic during our time there. Our goal was to share the gospel with these villages, as well as meet their physical needs through our clinics. The ultimate goal is to help start a church and reach their community and meet the spiritual needs of the people. It is a privilege and with passion that I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Guatemala for years to come.
